Photo’s from the Great Flood of 2025 (So to speak)

Grodence Here,

In Connecticut over the past several days, it has rained a lot, which has resulted in our rivers flooding. I decided to take photos of the two rivers that are closest to me, the Farmington River and the Connecticut River. While the flooding may not have reached Noah’s Ark level’s or even the Great Flood of 1938, it was still spectacular to see and photograph. Enjoy the following photos:

Playing fields at Loomis Chafee. Normally all grass, this is the intersection of the Farmington and Connecticut Rivers. The rivers are normally at the trees in the distance and to the left of the photo.

I am working on a regular blog post that is currently in the editing stages and will be published soon. It is an inspiring story about my bowling league.

  3. Great pics, Brandon! Wondering when this great flood was in CT. Besides losing our 20′ deep flood plain on the Ivy River that is 300 feet below our house, we survived flooding caused by Helene. Keep the posts coming – I have been really enjoying them! –Cuz Anne
